The Hook and Ladder Theater is hosting a new series that will keep "the Palmer’s spirit alive and connected."
After more than a century in the Cedar-Riverside neighborhood, Palmer's Bar closed in September with an 11-hour finale. Now, a little bit of its legacy will stay alive with Dirty P's Thirsty Third Thursdays, which will be hosted at the venue's intimate Zen Arcade stage.
On Oct. 16, Nov. 20, and Dec. 18, the venue will have artists who frequented Palmer's hit the stage as former bartender Bob Samuelson slings drinks.
It's a particularly fitting location for the series, as Willie Murphy's piano that sat in the corner of Palmer's is now calling The Hook and Ladder home.
