Is a 'B.C. billionaire' rich enough to buy up much of the Hudson’s Bay?

A citizen of China who wants to buy up the prime retail spaces of Canada’s Hudson’s Bay Co. says when journalists write that she is the wealthiest woman in Vancouver she “feels it” is true .

But shopping mall landlords across the country have told an Ontario judge that the businesses and assets of (Ruby) Weihong Liu — whom media outlets frequently describe as either a “Chinese billionaire” or a “B.C. billionaire” — are an “empty shell.”
