Love to watch shooting stars ? There will be lots of chances to see meteors and fireballs light up the night sky from now through the end of the year. But these could take more planning than some of the showy summer showers that were visible early in the night.
Two meteor showers are active now. The Orionids and Southern Taurids run through the whole month, into November.
The Draconids just ended their approximately four-day run, but there are plenty of other options this month.
The Northern Taurids will start late in the month and run through early December.
