India’s media and entertainment industry is taking a “great leap up” — that was the key message from Sanjay Jaju, Secretary, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. In an exclusive message to Business Today TV on the sidelines of FICCI Frames 2025 in Mumbai, he said Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Orange Economy vision is taking shape through several initiatives — including the Indian Institute of Creative Technologies (IICT). The Secretary highlighted that IICT offers world-class infrastructure for post-production, animation, VFX, and gaming, and urged participants and start-ups to make full use of these facilities. He also cited the new Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act as a significant step to encourage participation in e-sports and video gaming.
