MIO — Law enforcement officers searched on Thursday and Friday morning for a male suspect who may be armed in the area of Adheek Trail in Mio, according to the Oscoda County Sheriff’s Office.

Per an Oct. 9 initial news release, the sheriff’s office said it was working with the Michigan State Police K-9 Unit and urged residents to avoid the area and report any suspicious activity to 911.

By late morning Oct. 10, the agencies said they had completed an initial search of the area but had not located the suspect.

Authorities asked residents to remain alert and continue reporting any information or suspicious activity.
