A teenager is charged with setting a mobile home on fire in Iredell County on Tuesday.

A 16-year-old male is facing a charge of felony first-degree arson, the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

Iredell County deputies were sent to assist with a suspicious fire at 443 Butch Branch Road shortly after 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 7. The fire destroyed a mobile home, the sheriff’s office said.

The Iredell County Fire Marshal’s Office also responded to the scene. The fire marshal’s office said the fire appeared to have been intentionally set.
