(KRON) -- A possible freeway shooting in Oakland Friday morning has shut down the eastbound Interstate 80 to southbound Interstate 880 transition ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The CHP alerted the community of the freeway closure at 6:52 a.m. It is unclear at what time the possible shooting occurred.

No further information was immediately provided in the investigation.

Motorists are advised to expect delays in the area. There is no estimated time for the roadway to reopen.
