NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - An explosion was reported at a Tennessee explosives manufacturer in Hickman County on Friday morning.

A source confirmed to WSMV4 that multiple people are missing and that one is possibly dead.

The Hickman County Sheriff’s Office confirmed an explosion at Accurate Energetic Systems near Bucksnort.

HCSO said emergency crews are on scene to address the situation and asked people to avoid the area to allow first responders to work efficiently.

According to it’s website, Accurate Energetic Systems, LLC was established in 1980 and, “is dedicated to the development, manufacture, handling, and storage of high-quality energetic products utilized in both defense and commercial markets.”
