LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- A pedestrian was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries following a crash in the southeast valley Friday morning.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the crash happened just after 6 a.m. near Boulder Highway and Whitney Avenue, near Tropicana Avenue.
The crash involved a vehicle and a pedestrian. Medical personnel took the pedestrian to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The driver stayed on scene, and police said impairment was not suspected at this time.
Drivers should avoid the area, as the crash has shut down parts of nearby roads.
