Post offices in Callander, Trout Creek, and Commanda could close, according to a local union leader.
Cara-Lee Lyttle, Canadian Union of Postal Workers Local 576 president, says she has a soft spot for rural post offices, but they’re under attack.

“We haven’t heard which ones will close, nor do we have a list of those offices that will be impacted, but they’re going after the ones they consider not rural but are in suburban areas,” Lyttle told The Nugget during a picket strike outside the North Bay Purolator office on Wednesday.
