DALLAS — Two people were detained in Dallas after they allegedly shone a laser at a Department of Public Safety (DPS) helicopter and fired shots in the air near the helicopter Thursday night, police say.
Officers were called to the 3500 block of Simpson Stuart Road in southern Dallas at 11:50 p.m. Oct. 9 and they determined two suspects had fired weapons into the air after shining a laser at the DPS helicopter, police say.
The Dallas police were called to help locate and detain the two suspect, officials say. No officers are reported injured, according to a statement.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
