The Texas Department of Transportation said that in compliance with the SAFE ROADS initiative brought forward by U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy, state officials will be removing any symbols that do not serve to direct the flow of traffic. That includes any crosswalks and roadway markers with "political ideology."
