Trey Hendrickson is currently playing under a restructured, one-year contract with the Cincinnati Bengals for the 2025 season.

Hendrickson told the world during the offseason he was leaving the Cincinnati Bengals amid stalled contract talks.

Hendrickson didn’t win the AP Defensive Player of the Year award last season despite leading the NFL with 17.5 sacks. He has earned his payday, but the Bengals have been unwilling to give him the deal he covets, leading to trade rumors.

The Athletic’s Dianna Russini previously reported that teams that have contacted Cincinnati about Hendrickson have been told that the asking price includes a “young defensive player” and a 2026 first-round pick.

Clarifying, she added, “The player heading back does not have to be a pass rusher.”
