The Indiana Pacers brutally cut Delon Wright just hours after he suffered a serious head injury four minutes into his preseason debut.
Wright joined the Pacers after a stint with the New York Knicks, in which he went to the playoffs. The veteran journeyman made his first appearance for Indiana on Tuesday night but came off on the wrong end of a nasty collision shortly after he took to the court.
The 33-year-old had his back turned to the basket and was being guarded by Anthony Edwards when Jaylen Clark came running in for a steal, inadvertently hitting him in the eye area.
Wright was knocked down, and blood was seen running down his face as he tried to get up, visibly dazed.
