Violins of Hope Pittsburgh residency / Violins of Hope
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Historic violins that survived the Holocaust are being played on Milwaukee stages this fall through a partnership among Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra, Milwaukee Ballet, Skylight Music Theatre and the We Energies Foundation.
The instruments, part of the Violins of Hope Wisconsin residency, are being featured in more than 80 performances, exhibitions and educational events statewide through January 2026.
At Skylight Music Theatre, two violins from the collection are being used in "Fiddler on the Roof," one on stage and another in the orchestra, through Saturday, Oct. 26.
