New Delhi/London: In a landmark step to strengthen digital inclusion and secure communications, India and the United Kingdom have launched the India-UK Connectivity & Innovation Centre, a joint initiative that will drive research, innovation, and global standards in advanced telecommunications.

The Centre was launched under the UK-India Technology Security Initiative, in partnership with UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) and the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), India. Both nations have committed a combined £24 million over four years to advance cutting-edge telecom research and development.
