The UK will soon be plunged into freezing temperatures dropping as low as 0C, according to the latest weather data.

Weather maps from WXCharts show Saturday, October 25, to be the day when temperatures will drop to these extremes.

Almost the entirety of Wales will reach as low as 0C at midday on this date, according to the forecaster, with massive parts of Scotland hitting the same temperatures.

Durham, Northumberland and Cumbria will also see freezing temperatures sweep this part of the country.

The south will remain the warmest part of the UK, with London remaining at a still-chilly 7C and the surrounding counties hitting 4C.

However, the Met Office is predicting "pleasantly warm" conditions for the majority of October.
