A much-loved cat was awarded catizenship for Tavistock in a ceremony that was performed on Sunday - and he's got the whole town talking.
The event took place at the bandstand in the Meadows Park in the town where Polo the black cat who also has a tuft of white fur on his chest was given a certificate and a bandana that was personally made by the town's mayor.
Polo is one of the town's most recognised inhabitants and regularly makes the rounds checking in on locals. Photos and videos of him enjoying the town have become prominent and the famous feline now has a Facebook page.
Polo's fame has seen him become popular and he now has about 1,600 followers who check out his adventures online, with daily updates on his whereabouts.
