The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified a man who was shot and killed in a busy area of Birmingham.

Xavier Brandon Clark, 28, of Birmingham, was shot Thursday just before midnight in the 1100 block of Graymont Avenue West.

According to a press release from the Birmingham Police Department, the section of roadway is a major thoroughfare in the city.

Shot Spotter alerted authorities, who responded to the scene, where they found Clark unresponsive in a driveway.

Clark was pronounced dead on the scene by Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel.

Investigators are asking for anyone with surveillance footage to come forward.

No arrests have been made.
