Tropical Storm Priscilla continues to spin in the Pacific Ocean, bringing with it a significant risk of flash flooding across the southwestern United States through the weekend.
The National Hurricane Center said in an Oct. 10 advisory that Priscilla is located about 195 miles west-northwest of Cabo San Lazaro, Mexico with maximum sustained winds near 45 mph and with higher gusts.
Forecasters said additional weakening is expected, with Priscilla forecast to become a post-tropical remnant later Friday and dissipate by Saturday, Oct. 11. On the forecast track, Priscilla is expected to remain offshore of the coast of Baja California Sur before dissipating.
