SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – A Shreveport teenager was shot and killed on National Night Out, according to the Caddo Parish Coroner's Office.
The victim, identified by the Caddo Parish Coroner's Office as 17-year-old Martaevion Loston, was shot around 7:30 p.m. in the 500 block of East 79th Street at Line Avenue.
Loston was pronounced dead at 7:52 p.m. at Ochsner LSU Health hospital, where he was transported after the shooting.
His death marks the 31st homicide in Shreveport and the 36th homicide in Caddo Parish in 2025.
The Shreveport Police Department continues to investigate the incident.
An autopsy has been ordered.
