PORTLAND — Norway Savings Bank has donated $1,000 to the Equality Community Center in support of the organization’s Rainbow Affair on Friday, Oct. 17 at Thompson’s Point in Portland.

The event is raising funds to support next summer’s opening of Equality Commons in Portland, the state’s first affordable housing complex with services for LGBTQ+ older adults, as well as the development of new, dynamic and impactful programs to support one of the most marginalized populations in our community.

NSB has long been a supporter of the ECC, including a multi-year $200,000 commitment that enabled the ECC to purchase and renovate the center itself located on 15 Casco St. in Portland.
