It's always a beautiful sight when the people who devote their lives to saving and rescuing wildlife score a win.

This week, photographer Craig Bailey watched (and, of course, covered) the folks from Florida Wildlife Hospital release a Great Horned Owl back into the wild on Wednesday, Oct. 8.

The owl, which had soft tissue injuries and was unable to fly, was nursed back to health and released near where he was found in central Brevard's Canaveral Groves.

The wildlife hospital, located on U.S. 1 in Palm Shores, is dedicated to helping save injured animals rescued from across the Space Coast. And the facility isn't limited to just aiding Florida's birds, a menagerie of animals can be found under their care.
