In a bid to regulate tourism and ensure proper management of the region, the Koraput District Administration has issued a strict notice prohibiting tourists from bringing outside tents for overnight stays at Deomali, the highest peak in Odisha, located in Pattangi block.
The notice was issued by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) and aims to streamline camping activities while maintaining safety and order in the popular tourist spot.
Deomali attracts hundreds of tourists daily, both from Odisha and other states, who visit to enjoy the scenic beauty and spend the night camping under the stars.
