Fortis Escorts Hospital, Amritsar, has clarified that renowned bodybuilder and actor Varinder Singh Ghuman suffered a sudden cardiac arrhythmia following a shoulder surgery, which led to his untimely death on Thursday. The statement rules out procedural complications and provides a detailed medical account of the incident.

According to the hospital’s report, Ghuman was evaluated in the OPD on October 6, 2025 , for pain and restricted movement in his right shoulder. After examination, doctors advised arthroscopic rotator cuff repair with biceps tenodesis . The hospital emphasized that Ghuman had no prior comorbidities before the surgery.
