This week we are tapping in with rapper, producer and singer-songwriter IDK., whose artist name is a backronym for “Ignorantly Delivering Knowledge.” He was born in London to a Sierra Leonean mother and Ghanian father, and though both passed away, he tells me that he grew up in a Sierra Leonean household in Maryland. “When you mix all of those things together you get what I am, which is almost like a pot of gumbo of a lot of different things culturally,” he says.

When we meet, IDK is reserved, patient, and deliberate. Most importantly, he puts that shit on. The artist has made meaningful, soulful music with a message for years.
