Brisk fall weather, it would seem, has arrived just in time in Brockville for the Thanksgiving long weekend.

Thanksgiving Day is observed on Oct. 13 this year, and while many businesses and services in Brockville will be closed for the holiday, some will remain open.

The annual holiday, initially an expression of gratitude for the bounty of the fall harvest, is also a time of family togetherness and, as the name suggests, broader thankfulness.
