Mocktails, music and mammograms will be on the menu at a special event taking place Oct. 17.
Created by Kingston Health Sciences Centre’s Breast Imaging Kingston team, the special event, which runs from 5 to 8 p.m., aims to give “attendees the chance to enjoy a relaxed atmosphere while accessing life-saving breast screening and education,” according to a news release sent out by KHSC.
It’s also meant to encourage women, two-spirit, trans and non-binary individuals who are 40 years of age or older to meet and discuss breast health, and make screening less intimidating, the release continues.
