TACOMA, Wash. — Banana Ball is coming to Tacoma in 2026 , but it won't be the renowned Savannah Bananas themselves taking the field at Cheney Stadium.

On May 22-24, the Savannah Party Animals will take on a new team to the Bananas universe: the Indianapolis Clowns. Banana Ball owner Jesse Cole said he was "inspired" by the story of the Clowns, which played as part of the Negro Leagues from 1943-54. According to MLB , their barnstorming tours lasted into the 1960s.

The Party Animals are among the teams that typically face off against the Savannah Bananas during the team's tours across the country. The tour schedule for the six teams affiliated with the organization was unveiled Thursday.
