A multi-vehicle crash is causing delays on Interstate 283 Friday morning in Dauphin County, PennDOT officials said.
The crash happened around 6:40 a.m. in Swatara Township at mile marker 2.5, which is the start of I-283, according to PennDOT spokeswoman Fritzi Schreffler. There is a right lane and right shoulder restriction.
Schreffler said the crash is causing heavy traffic on the I-83 and Route 322 ramps that feed into I-283.
Reported injuries are unclear, she said.
It’s also unclear when the right lane is estimated to reopen.
Pennsylvania State Police and fire crews are at the scene.
