Hamilton College is celebrating with four of its pupils now accepted into Scottish Ballet, Scotland’s prestigious national dance company.
Amelie Browning (10), was the latest to take the step up, successfully auditioning for the Junior Associates programme, her progress coming a year after she won a place on the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland’s Pre-Junior Ballet programme, where she continues to study ballet and jazz.
Amelie began ballet at her local dance school at the age of two, successfully completing a number of BATD exams and performed in the school’s annual dance shows. She also trains at the Carol McLaren Dance Academy (CMDA) in Hamilton, where she studies lyrical, contemporary, acro and ballet, and regularly performs on stage with the academy.
She joins
