When a Greater Sudbury Police officer on patrol on Larch Street noticed a Ford Fusion on Larch Street moving very slowly and driving near the curb, he stopped the driver.

The driver – who had bloodshot eyes and moved very slowly – was then asked if he had had anything to drink.

He replied, “A lot.”

The man had difficulty finding the ignition to shut off his engine as asked, and almost fell out of the vehicle when he got out.

The man later produced Intoxilyzer readings of 220 and 210, both more than double the legal limit of 80 while driving. He was charged with impaired driving.

In the Ontario Court of Justice in Sudbury, the man – Tyler Jackson – pleaded guilty to the charge.
