John Lodge, the singer and bass guitarist for Moody Blues, has died at 82 years old.
In a statement obtained by Fox News on Friday, Lodge's family said that he died "suddenly and unexpectedly." The family added that Lodge "peacefully slipped away surrounded by his loved ones and the sounds of The Everly Brothers and Buddy Holly."

John Lodge joined the British rock band Moody Blues in 1966 and stayed with the band until they stopped performing live in 2018.
The singer and bassist was featured on some of the group’s famous hits, including the 1967 album "Days Of Future Passed," which is considered by some as one of rock’s first concept albums, and its follow-up a year later, "In Search Of The Lost Chord."
