Veteran Baton Rouge lobbyist Randy Haynie will be honored at a black-tie dinner by the Ogden Museum of Southern Art on Oct. 18.
He and multi-media artist Dawn DeDeaux are receiving the 2025 Opus Award for their “significant impact within the arts and culture of our region.”
The event will take place at the Patrick F. Taylor Library, which the Ogden owns.
Haynie was a founding member of the museum’s board and helped secure about $7 million in state dollars 23 years ago to construct its building in New Orleans’ Warehouse District.
