GEORGE COUNTY, Miss. (WLOX) - A 58-year-old woman is facing charges after a shooting in George County, according to authorities.

Deputies responded to the scene on Tannertown Road on Thursday, October 9, around 1:20 a.m. and found a man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

Deputies arrested Victoria Valentine in connection with the incident. She is charged with domestic violence – aggravated assault.

Valentine was transported to the George County Regional Jail, where a $5,000 bond was set.

The male victim was taken by an ambulance to receive medical treatment. His condition has not been released at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.
