FRANKENLUST TWP, MI — Delta College officials have in place a transition plan as the institution prepares for the exit of its president and a planned July 1 start date for his replacement.
Michael Gavin in September announced his resignation as president of Delta, effective Dec. 31, to take on a role developing a national coalition to defend higher education.
The Delta College Board of Trustees during a meeting this week formally accepted the resignation and selected Andrea Ursuy as the college’s planned interim president. She will begin in that role Jan. 1, 2026, as the college searches for a permanent replacement, said Leanne Govitz, Delta’s spokesperson.
