PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- The body of a man who was reported missing Thursday was found on Seaside Beach early Friday morning, authorities said.

On Thursday evening, Wayne Wilson, 64, was reported missing, which officials said prompted a search by Seaside Police and Seaside Fire & Rescue.

Just before 7:30 a.m., authorities said that a body had been found on the beach near Avenue A.

Authorities responded to the scene, and they identified the body as Wilson.

The Clatsop County Medicolegal Death Investigator was called to the scene for an examination.

Wilson had last been seen around 6:30 p.m. near his home in the area of North Wahanna Road and Broadway Street, officials said.
