PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- A driver and passengers, including kids, were injured Thursday night after an SUV crashed into a TriMet bus, authorities said.
Just before 10 p.m., Portland police said a Mercedes-Benz SUV crashed into the bus near E Burnside Street and NE 79th Avenue.
Six people, the bus driver and five passengers, two of whom were kids, were hurt in the crash, authorities said, with the reporting pain, bruises and some neck soreness.
The driver of the Mercedes-Benz was injured in the crash as well and was taken to a hospital.
While investigating, police said they determined that the driver, later identified as Kelly O'Brien, 38, was intoxicated at the time of the crash, and following blood tests, she was booked on DUII, reckless driving and third-degree assault charges.
