Eight years after he was reported missing, the investigation into Campbell River teen Jordan Holling's disappearance is still ongoing.

Holling was 17 years old when he disappeared on Oct. 16, 2017. The last sighting of him was at 2 a.m., close to Highway 19 in Campbellton, after he left a friend’s house on 16th Ave. in Campbell River to walk to his nearby home.

According to the RCMP, the missing person investigation remains active until the person is found. When tips are received, they are followed up on and investigated, said Const. Maury Tyre, with the Campbell River RCMP.

"Unfortunately, the information received thus far has not allowed us to locate Jordan," Tyre said.

His mother, Andrea Wiley, thanked the public for keeping people aware that her son is still missing.
