CLEVELAND, Ohio – Banana ball is back.

The Savannah Bananas – the fun-loving, twist-the-rules, modern-day clown princes of baseball - are returning to Cleveland to play a pair of games in 2026. The Bananas will play the Indianapolis Clowns at Progressive Field on Sept. 25-26. Times are to be determined.

Banana-ball rules are creative, to say the least: The team with the most runs in an inning gets a point, winning the inning – except for the final inning, when all runs count. If the hitter steps out of the box, it’s a strike. No bunting is allowed, but batters can steal first on a passed ball or wild pitch.
