FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Bobby Petrino is back in charge as the head football coach at the University of Arkansas — at least in an interim capacity.

On Sunday, Petrino became the sixth interim coach in program history, all coming since the Razorbacks joined the Southeastern Conference in 1992.

Joe Kines - 1992

After a shocking 10-3 loss to The Citadel from then-Division I-AA in the Razorbacks' first game as members of the SEC, head coach Jack Crowe resigned and defensive coordinator Jack Crowe was named as the interim coach for the remainder of the 1992 season.

Crowe's lawyer later told Sports Illustrated that Crowe was actually fired by athletic director Frank Broyles.
