Candidates in Montreal’s election got fast-tracked to a fit physique this week as a guerilla marketing campaign gave them the bodies of world-class speed skaters.
Posters showing the torsos of competitive speed skaters popped up at the beginning of the week in the Plateau Mont-Royal, Little Italy and downtown, placed directly below campaign posters for candidates of different parties. At the bottom of the mysterious posters are the words: “Que le plus rapide gagne” with a QR code.
The result, which makes the candidates look a bit like superheroes, has drawn chuckles and quizzical stares from passersby.
