A D.C. woman who has worked as a civil servant for more than 30 years won a $2 million lottery prize – and collected it in a disguise that included a sparkly gold top hat.

The anonymous winner in her 70s spent $50 on an Extreme 500X Fortune scratch-off ticket and won the jackpot, D.C. Lottery officials announced this week.
