JASPER COUNTY, Texas — The former manager of an East Texas fishing store was arrested Friday for allegedly stealing safes that had $8,000 inside.
Amber Williams was booked into the Jasper County Jail on property theft between $2,500 and $30,000 after she turned herself because of an arrest warrant, the Jasper County Sheriff's Office said.
The sheriff's office said deputies began investigating on Sept. 10 when a burglary was reported at Tackle Addict, located at 3755 Sam Rayburn Parkway. Deputies determined someone entered the store and took two small safes with about $8,000 inside.
After an investigation, Williams, who was the manager of the store, was named the suspect. She's innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law, JCSO said.
