Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar on Friday said even after a recommendation — by Minister of State for Home Yogesh Kadam — to give an arms licence to fugitive gangster Nilesh Ghaywal’s brother Sachin, it was not issued, as the Pune police commissioner put it on hold.
Speaking to media persons in Pune , Pawar, who is also the guardian minister of Pune district, said he has asked the police commissioner to conduct a proper inquiry and take strict action against the culprits over the passport issued illegally to Nilesh.
Pawar said he was with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde in Mumbai a few days ago, and that the CM assured that a transparent probe will be conducted and those found guilty won’t be spared.
