GOSHEN, Ind. (WNDU) - An Elkhart man has been sentenced to 50 years in prison for the murder of another Elkhart man just over a year and a half ago.

According to our reporting partners at The Goshen News , this comes after Michael Dandridge pleaded guilty to the murder of David Strowder back on March 21, 2024 .

Elkhart police were called just before 7:30 that night to the 2400 block of Morton Avenue.

The Goshen News says Strowder’s wife told police her brother-in-law, Dandridge, was the shooter and had left the scene.

After the shooting, Dandridge reportedly walked out of the house calmly and told his sister in-law not to tell police what happened before leaving.
