Hundreds of county and city employees gathered at the Coweta County Fairgrounds for the 27th Annual First Responders Luncheon on Thursday.

The yearly event is organized and hosted by the Newnan-Coweta Public Safety Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to supporting first responders in Coweta County. The luncheon is free and open to all divisions of public safety, including law enforcement, fire departments, emergency medical services and court systems.

Pat Craven, chairwoman of the foundation’s committee, said the luncheon is a great opportunity for fellowship amongst county and city employees.

Warden Jeff Rogers and the Coweta County Prison provided food for the luncheon, and were assisted by volunteers from the Newnan-Coweta Public Safety Foundation.
