CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WV News) — A 40-year-old indicted in September for possession with intent to deliver marijuana has been jailed after failing a drug screen.

Mark Anthony Hyde had shown up in person Thursday, over half an hour early, for a court hearing; he had been the subject of a bench warrant until that point due to his earlier failure to appear for his arraignment.

While Hyde was seated outside the courtroom of Circuit Judge D. Andrew McMunn, appearing lethargic, probation officers Heidi Leaseburge and Matthew Chase arrived and took Hyde for the drug screen.

It was tentatively positive for fentanyl and meth, according to Harrison Assistant Prosecutor Andrea Roberts, with more definitive results awaiting lab testing.
