ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A St. Louis County jury convicted a 42-year-old woman of murder.
Lanora Arnold, 42, was found guilty of second-degree murder, unlawful use of a weapon, second-degree burglary, tampering with evidence and armed criminal action.
Prosecutors said Arnold shot and killed Jordan Armstrong in the 7100 block of Lexington Avenue on June 7, 2024.
According to investigators, Arnold killed Armstrong, flourished her gun at a neighbor, then broke into a home and ditched the gun in a clothing hamper. A bullet from Armstrong matched the gun found in the hamper, and Arnold’s DNA was on the gun.
The jury recommended up to 45 years in prison. She will be sentenced on Dec. 3
