Organ Mountain cross country athletes Daxton Coombs and Ashley Galaz have been voted as the Las Cruces Sun-News El Paso Children's Hospital Co-Athletes of the Week for Sept. 29-Oct. 4.

Coombs and Galaz were among 10 football, soccer, volleyball and cross country nominees from Las Cruces, Mayfield, Organ Mountain, Centennial and Chaparral. Fellow nominees included Las Cruces football's Daniel Amaro, Centennial football's Anthony Sandoval and Dailen Ramirez, Chaparral football's Israel Nieto and Raul Lopez, Las Cruces volleyball's Ava Price, Mayfield volleyball's McKenna Linnan and Mayfield boys' soccer's Reymundo Carranza.

Coombs and Galaz each received 4,256 votes. Price finished behind them at 2,318 votes.
